Introduction
When I arrived at Vida, the company was only a few months old and I was the first designer they hired. We started with a completely blank slate. In the first couple months there, two more designers were hired. We had a unique opportunity to shape not only a product from the ground up, but a company as well.

To design an app that from one side allowed carers to manage their appointments with clients and from the other side allowed clients to book and monitor the care they are receiving.
Changing the culture of an industry built on legacy systems that heavily relied on analogue means for a large part of their operations. Getting both the carers and care managers to understand and buy into what we were building.

What I did?
In the early stages, I wanted to understand more about the care industry. So I spoke to all of the care managers at Vida. Through many collaborative sessions, we could gather what we needed to make the products that we were building compliant with all the regulations involved with delivering care in the UK.

Results
We created three products, a native Android and iOS app for our carers and clients and an internal Web application for our care managers to manage the care for our clients.
